VCA/SCC Basic training

Target group

The course is designed for anyone who carries out high risk work activities in industry, petrochemicals, engineering and construction. Employees at the executive level who perform work activities with increased risk in other sectors belong to the target group.

Objective

This safety training is necessary in order to develop employees' safety awareness. In addition, they must demonstrate sufficient basic safety knowledge with an VCA-accredited "diploma".

The objective of this training is to impart theoretical knowledge and practical skills, as well as safety concepts, efficiency, effectiveness and responsibility.

  • Accidents and disasters;
  • Hazardous substances;
  • Fire, explosions and fire prevention;
  • Tools and machines;
  • Electricity;
  • Hoisting and lifting;
  • Working at height;
  • Working in dangerous locations;
  • Ergonomics;
  • Personal Protective Equipment.

Duration

The duration of the training depends upon the assessed level, the working knowledge and the working environment of the students. The VCA Basic training normally lasts for one day

Validity period of diploma

The diploma is valid for 10 years.
