What can you expect from an SMC safety expert?

• If desired, he will act as the right-hand man of the head of the internal service and assume the following responsibilities: safety expert consultant for project management (construction, plant shutdowns, demolition, etc.), safety co-ordination on building sites, identification and assessment of risks, preparation of business plans, and directions, carrying out accident and near miss investigations, HSE coordination, HAZOP analysis, etc.
• He identifies and records preventive problem areas, working solutions, and organises relevant internal training
• He checks whether the safety and prevention plan are being put into practice within the company by both internal employees and external contractors
• He provides focused advice about the prevention of accidents and incidents
• He provides advice about hygiene in the workplace
• He informs and raises awareness among all employees about well-being at work
• He prepares instructions for the proper use of policy instruments, materials and protective equipment
• He works in accordance with the client's internal (emergency) procedures for severe accidents, emergencies and working methods

Qualifications

• Basic VCA safety training
• 3 years of relevant work experience
• Certificate Prevention advisor level 1 or 2

Competencies

• A1 working and thinking level or relevant experience
• Technical background/affinity
• Good communication skills
• Bilingual
