What can you expect from an SMC safety all-rounder?

• He evaluates the working environment thoroughly and reviews the safety guidelines before the start of the works
• Because he is mobile, he is responsible for overall safety during the entire execution of the works
• He continuously provides advice regarding: housekeeping, set-up, work activities constituting a fire hazard, working at height, control of entry into confined spaces, temporary electrical installations, lifting equipment, boundaries, zoning, etc.
• He shall provide safety advice about the safety guidelines and ensure compliance thereof
• He provides advice about safety awareness and performs corrective actions in the event of infringements
• In the event of infringements of the safety guidelines, he proactively carries out corrective actions and seeks solutions)
• In the event of an incident, he adequately and pro-actively notifies bystanders and emergency services (safety service, company fire service or municipal fire brigade, ambulance)
• He reports both orally and in writing to the person responsible for the site

Qualifications

• Minimum VCA VOL
• 3 years relevant work experience
• Fire guard AV 011
• Safety guard in confined spaces training in accordance with IS-007
• Working with self-contained respiratory protection equipment training and IS-081
• Scaffolding inspector training AV 022
• Internal SMC training

Competencies

• A2 working and thinking level
• Technical background/affinity
• Good communication skills
• Dutch language
