Sustainability, ESG and corporate social responsibility are aspects that are or should be given attention within every organization. And at SMC, we give this extra attention.
ESG stands for Environmental, Social and Governance and is all about how we can make our business processes and services more sustainable, cleaner, safer, fairer and healthier. These three letters have a big impact on both our business and society.
What sets us apart is that from 2026 we are making a conscious effort to further integrate ESG principles into our way of working. Based on the belief that we want to operate in a more responsible and forward-looking manner within our sector, we are taking targeted steps to gradually implement ESG within our organization. This ambition to continuously improve forms the basis of our approach and reflects our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.


Starting in 2026, we want to work step by step on a thoughtful approach around diversity and inclusion. In the coming years, we will explore how, within our organization and capabilities, we can contribute to a diverse and inclusive work environment. In doing so, we will focus on creating equal opportunities, attracting and retaining talent and strengthening a respectful and open corporate culture.
Our approach will develop gradually based on concrete actions, evaluations and insights. We regard diversity and inclusion not as a fixed endpoint, but as a continuous learning and growth process.
